filmmakers do it ’til 3
On Saturday night of the film festival, we had a small gathering at The Kitchen Upstairs in Boulder, after which three of us made our way down Pearl Street in search of the perfect place to catch last call. By some divine intervention, that place was partially Ben & Jerry’s! As we were walking by at 1 am, a couple of the store employees unlocked the store for themselves. One of the girls we had just run into slipped inside with them and emerged with a huge five-person bowl of Cookie Dough and Half-Baked, our collective favorites. We eventually made our way to a rooftop bar a few blocks away where two of the filmmakers, one hilarious director named Craig from L.A., and Jesse, a handsome devil of a producer from Brooklyn, and I had last call. After being ushered out of the bar by bouncers along with hoards of stumbling college students, we congregated outside for awhile. There we met Angelo and Dana. Angels apparently knew me from a local healthfood store I frequent and was a real charmer to say the least! My night ended with a small, forgiven brush with the Boulder PD where I chatted myself out of a ticket. My head hit the pillow at about 3:30 am… and the itsy bitsy sleep was well worth all that fun! xo HMP
