A sonic mix of Norah Jones, Diana Krall, and Adele, the original jazz/lounge/art-pop of Heather Marie Philipp intertwines a sultry, classic lounge jazz sound with a soulful pop sensibility akin to Feist and Cat Power.

Her debut CD Under the Apple, a collection of original jazz-based songs, was released in the U.S. in 2008 to much positive review and regional radio airplay. Heather now lives and performs in and around Santiago, Chile.

(Live 2008, KGNU Radio)

“…original jazz vocals so earthy and heartfelt i ached with the listening…Under the Apple tastes of the naked soul of HMP centered in soulful arrangements…like excerpts from a woman’s diary, glimpses of love lost and yet to come.”
– Sara Dee, KGNU Radio, Boulder/Denver, CO
